In the eurythmy exercises for E (English sound: long a as in mate) we awaken the ability of introspection and develop tools for influencing and changing our behaviour. To this purpose, we practice perceiving the result of our activity. This allows us to observe our movement sequences and to design movement habits differently.
In this course you find 18 different exercises developed out of the manifold possibilities of E. We apply these exercises in our ABSR courses, as a remedy for the many forms of nervousness, and in our courses for people suffering from hypersensitivity. In each of the three sequences we show you a different variation of an exercise, each having different requirements and results.
Eurythmy strengthens our body awareness and leads you into a dialogue with the body. In becoming aware of the resonance between and after the exercises you learn to pay attention to the life forces. The life-body is given space, the life-forces are strengthened, and you connect yourself with your personal potential.
Please pay attention to the following when exercising:
As everywhere in life, when engaging in sport or working, it is important to vary and avoid overdoing things. If you notice that the exercises have a positive effect and you wish to do them regularly, we recommend that to do so with care and that you do not neglect other exercises and activities.
Should you have questions or for further interest you will find links to eurythmists and eurythmy therapists who will be willing to help you on our links page. Should you have a therapeutic need we advise you to contact a doctor or eurythmy therapist.
